What CancelPMI requests through Plaid, what it does not request, and what happens after a one-time mortgage read.
CancelPMI requests Plaid Liabilities and filters the connection to mortgage accounts. We do not request Plaid Transactions. We do not use checking or savings transaction history, income, spending, or card purchases.
A bank may provide the current mortgage balance, original principal, loan type, interest rate, payment dates and amounts, past-due status, PMI status, and property address. Availability varies by bank. You can review and edit every imported value before using it in the eligibility check.
Plaid handles the bank sign-in, so CancelPMI never receives your bank password. After you approve the connection, CancelPMI reads the available mortgage record once. We then remove the Plaid Item immediately. The connection is not used for ongoing monitoring.
We do not store the Plaid access token, bank account number, or raw Plaid response. If you submit a review request, we save only the mortgage values you reviewed, along with the other information and permissions described in our Privacy Policy.
Connecting a mortgage is optional. You can upload a mortgage statement or enter the numbers yourself instead. Questions or privacy requests can be sent to hello@cancelpmi.app.
